Positive: This is a well appointed gite in an excellent location. Belinda and Hamish couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful. Massignac is a small village but has everything for your immediate needs. A friendly little epicerie, fabulous boulangerie, cafe, post office and a restaurant are all only a couple of minutes walk away. You won’t be able to be there more than a couple of days before making new friends. Wider afield you have a couple of Intermarches, a Super U and a LeClerc a short drive away. Massignac is around halfway between Angouleme and Limoges so both are easy to reach. There are a couple of nice walks from the gite. One is around the lake, another, short walk goes to the local Michelin starred Restaurant “Domaine des Etang”. The walk is free, the restaurant is definitely not…. Gite du Jardin is the only place we’ll stay if we’re anywhere near the area.
Negative: Nothing at all.
